Aizawl, Nov. 6 -- Mizoram Social Welfare, Women and Child Development Minister Lalrinpuii on Thursday voiced concern over a sharp rise in incidents of violence against women across the state, calling for collective efforts to address gender-based violence with renewed urgency.

Speaking after inaugurating the Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Solve Project at her office in Aizawl, Lalrinpuii said the problem demands serious attention from both government and society. The GBV Solve Project is a joint initiative of Aparajita and J-PAL South Asia, to be implemented in Mizoram by the Mission Foundation Movement (MFM).
