London, Feb. 2 -- Aston Villa's Premier League title push suffered a setback on Sunday as they lost 1-0 to 10-man Brentford, while Manchester United continued their resurgence with a third consecutive victory under new manager Michael Carrick.
Villa played more than half the match with a numerical advantage after Brentford winger Kevin Schade was shown a straight red card in the 42nd minute for kicking out at Matty Cash. Despite the dismissal, Brentford struck just before halftime stoppage time, with Dango Ouattara scoring the decisive goal.
The defeat left third-placed Villa seven points adrift of league leaders Arsenal, who thrashed Leeds 4-0 on Saturday. Villa is also starting to feel pressure from an improving Manchester United side....
