Shimla, Jan. 14 -- A fresh political controversy has erupted in Himachal Pradesh, after Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh made sharp remarks on the role of bureaucracy in the state, triggering divergent reactions from his own cabinet colleagues and intensifying the debate on political-administrative relations.
Singh, who oversees the Public Works Department, Urban Development, and Housing, urged Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu to take action, stating that some officers are "destroying the essence of Himachaliyat".
