Belagavi, Feb. 12 -- Framing the debate as one of "selective appeasement versus social justice", BJP State President and MLA Vijayendra Yediyurappa on Thursday accused the Congress government of prioritising minority appeasement while neglecting large sections of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes.
At the heart of his attack was the government's recent order granting 100 per cent interest waiver under a one-time settlement scheme for beneficiaries of the Minority Development Corporation. Beneficiaries, he said, are required to repay only the principal amount.
