Chennai, April 4 -- Actor-turned-politician and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) Founder President Vijay on Saturday filed a revised affidavit in connection with his nomination for the April 23 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, following discrepancies in his earlier submissions in the two seats he was contesting the polls.

The move comes after inconsistencies were flagged in his initial affidavits filed from Perambur and Tiruchy East constituencies, particularly regarding the disclosure of pending criminal cases.

Reports indicated that the affidavit while filing nominations in Perambur did not mention a 2025 case, while in the paper at Tiruchy East acknowledged multiple cases, prompting the need for correction.
