Chennai, March 4 -- Continuing his tirade against the ruling DMK, dubbing it as a failure model, actor-politician and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagm (TVK) Founder Vijay on Wednesday announced key poll promise that was aimed at easing the burden of small and marginal farmers, assuring free higher education.

Addressing a rally at Thanjavur, the rice bowl of Tamil Nadu, ahead of the key polls, which his party would be testing the waters for the first time, Vijay termed the upcoming polls as deeply personal.

"For others, this may just be an election. For me and for those who love me, it is an emotion...it is an oceanic emotion," he said, urging the people of Tamil Nadu to give TVK an opportunity to govern to deliver a corruption-free administration....
