New Delhi, Jan. 25 -- Former Indian Davis Cup captain and tennis great Vijay Amritraj will be awarded the India's third highest civilian award- the Padma Bhushan, while cricketers Rohit Sharma and Harmanpreet Kaur have been selected for India's forth highest award the Padma Shri.
Padma Awards were announced on Sunday on the eve of Republic Day.
Vijay Amritraj, now a US citizen, has been selected for the Padma Bhushan.
Amritraj, one of India's all time best tennis players reached a career-high world ranking of No. 16 in 1980. As a singles player he reached Wimbledon and US Open quarterfinals and was a trailblazer for Asian tennis.
