New Delhi, Jan. 25 -- Former Indian Davis Cup captain and tennis great Vijay Amritraj will be awarded the India's third highest civilian award- the Padma Bhushan, while cricketers Rohit Sharma and Harmanpreet Kaur have been selected for India's forth highest award the Padma Shri.
Padma Awards were announced on Sunday on the eve of Republic Day.
Vijay Amritraj, now a US citizen, has been selected for the Padma Bhushan.
Rohit, led the Indian men's cricket team to victory as captain in the ICC T20 World Cup in 2024, and the Champions Trophy title in 2025. Rohit, a prolific batsman is also the only cricketer in the world to have scored a double century three times in ODI cricket.
