Hanoi, Jan. 9 -- Vietnam's first liquefied natural gas (LNG) power complex officially began commercial operations earlier this week in southern Vietnam's Dong Nai province, local media VnEconomy reported Friday.

The complex has a combined capacity of 1,624 megawatts and is expected to supply over 9 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity annually to the national grid, with a total investment of 1.4 billion US dollars, the report said.
