Chandigarh, Jan. 16 -- A short video allegedly showing a youth rinsing his mouth in the sacred 'sarovar' (pond) at the Golden Temple has triggered widespread outrage after it went viral on social media. The clip, shared online with the caption "Muslim Sher," shows the youth sitting with his feet in the holy water and performing actions that many have termed disrespectful to Sikh religious traditions.
The 13-second reel reportedly depicts the youth scooping water into his mouth several times and, on one occasion, spitting it back into the sarovar before washing his face and gesturing towards the shrine.
