New York, July 22 -- Seven-time major champion Venus Williams is training hard to make her comeback to tennis at the DC Open after more than a year away from the sport.

When reporters asked her about her sister Serena's comeback to the game based on a video posted recently on social media, she replied that "I mean, I keep saying to my team: 'The only thing that would make this better is if she was here,' like we always did everything together, so of course I miss her."

"But if she comes back, I'm sure she'll let y'all know," Venus told reporters ahead of her return, per the Associated Press.
