New Delhi, April 8 -- A vegetable vendor has been arrested by the Delhi Police for allegedly molesting an 11-year-old girl in the Outer district, an officer said on Wednesday.
The accused has been identified as 25-year-old Dharmender, who is a native of Bihar's Madhubani area.
According to the police, the incident came to light on Saturday last, when a caller informed the cops that his niece had been molested a day earlier by an unidentified man who was outside her residence.
"The accused fled the scene immediately after committing the offence," the caller added.
Following the complaint, the minor's statement was recorded in the presence of her parents, and a case was registered under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (...
