Dehradun, Jan. 23 -- The mercury in the mountains of Uttarakhand saw a sharp dip on Friday morning as several high-altitude areas, including 'queen of hills' Mussoorie experienced their first snowfall of the season.
Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri shrines along with other high hill areas too witnessed heavy snowfall lowering their temperature to subzero mark.
Temperature plummeted across the state, especially in high altitudes of Uttarakhand following heavy showers resulting the hills, roads and deodar trees draped in a white blanket of the snow.
