Dehradun, Jan. 23 -- The upcoming Uttarakhand Budget Session will be held in the state's summer capital, Gairsain, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said.
The CM shared the information after the state cabinet authorised him to take a final call on the venue for the 2026 budget session, with the budget likely to surpass the Rs one lakh crore mark.
Speaking to the media in Dehradun, Chief Minister Dhami said the budget session is traditionally held at the Bhararisain legislature building in the summer capital Gairsain. Last year, the session could not take place there due to the ongoing renovation and repair work in the state assembly building and it was shifted to Dehradun.
