Dehradun, Oct. 14 -- Uttarakhand government has allowed Nepal, Tibet and Bhutan citizens in the state to register their marriages under the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) regime if they have valid documents from their authorities.
It has decided to hold a special assembly session to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the state and lift the ban from frozen zone area in Dehradun for private constructions.
In an important development on Monday Uttarakhand's Pushkar Singh Dhami cabinet has decided to amend the online marriage registration process under the UCC for Nepal and Bhutan citizens married in the state.
