Hyderabad, Feb. 1 -- Telangana Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister Capt Uttam Kumar Reddy strongly criticized the Union Budget 2025-26, labelling it anti-farmer, anti-poor, and a betrayal of Telangana by the BJP-led Central Government.

He accused the BJP of using the budget to favour election-bound states like Bihar and Delhi while neglecting Telangana.

In a statement here on Saturday, Reddy pointed out that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman's budget speech, despite quoting Telugu poet Gurajada Appa Rao, failed to address the needs of Telangana, which has been seeking long-awaited projects such as the Bayyaram Steel Plant, Kazipet Railway Coach Factory, and the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Project.
