Hyderabad, Jan. 30 -- Telangana Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy on Friday evening launched a sharp attack on the opposition Bharat Rashtra Samithi, firmly rejecting allegations that the Congress government had diluted Telangana's water rights during inter-State discussions on Krishna and Godavari river sharing.

Addressing a virtual press conference from Huzurnagar, Uttam Kumar Reddy described the BRS charges as "baseless propaganda and repeated lies" and accused the previous BRS government under K. Chandrashekhar Rao and former irrigation minister T. Harish Rao of committing a "historic betrayal" of Telangana's farmers.
