Washington, April 1 -- US President Donald Trump is mulling over a possible exit from NATO, threatening to pull out of the transatlantic bloc due to the hesitancy and inaction of fellow allied states to help American forces in their war against Iran.

Speaking to the British daily Telegraph, Trump said he is considering termination of Washington's membership in the very same NATO that the country had ironically created alongside West European nations more than seven decades ago to counter the former Soviet Union, present day Russian Federation, expressing disillusionment with the bloc.
