Washington, Jan. 26 -- The US Department of Homeland Security is facing massive congressional reckoning following the controversial killing on January 24 of Alex Pretti in the city of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The shooting by the newly created and highly notorious unit, Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE), has invited massive anger among both Democrats and even Republicans, who have notably been far less supportive of the unit's actions, either being fully critical, or otherwise giving mixed statements which would condemn the killing but also try to defend the ICE agents.

The resultant fallout has rapidly escalated on Capitol Hill, as Democrats are openly giving threats of a partial government shutdown, calling for impeachment proceedings...
