Hyderabad, Sept. 26 -- Telangana Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao on Friday said that the increased supply of urea to the state in September has brought significant relief to farmers.

Out of the total 7.88 lakh metric tons of urea received from April to September, 1.84 lakh metric tons were supplied in September alone, he noted.

The Minister acknowledged that farmers faced difficulties in previous months due to under-allocation of urea, but persistent efforts by the state government and repeated representations to the Center have now ensured additional supplies.

Rao provided a month-wise breakdown: 1.21 lakh metric tons supplied against 1.71 lakh in April, 0.88 lakh for 1.61 lakh in May, 0.98 for 1.70 lakh in June, 1.43 for 1.6...
