Ranchi, Feb. 11 -- An anti-encroachment drive in the Khadgarha and Mahua Toli areas to protests and a major road blockade.
Local residents staged a demonstration against the administrative action that began on Tuesday, blocking the main road near Ratu Road Kabristan.
The blockade caused long traffic snarls, severely disrupting vehicular movement and inconveniencing commuters across the city.
The situation became critical as office-goers, school buses, and even ambulances remained stranded for hours. Police attempted to manage the situation by diverting traffic, but normalcy could not be restored for a considerable period.
