Barabanki, Aug. 14 -- A heartbreaking incident occurred in the Kothi area of Barabanki district, where a woman and her two young sons were found dead in the Gomti River on Thursday morning.
The bodies were recovered by the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), nearly 18 hours after the woman reportedly jumped into the river with her children.
According to officials, the woman had arrived at the Ausaneshwar bridge on Wednesday afternoon. She was seen placing her personal belongings on the riverbank before the tragic act. The elder child's body was found near the mother, while the younger child's body was recovered nearly 10 kilometers downstream.
