Kannauj, March 27 -- An alleged dispute between Uttar Pradesh's Social Welfare Minister Asim Arun and the Kannauj district administration intensified after an incident at a public event on Thursday evening, triggering protests by BJP workers the following day on Friday.
The controversy arose during the "Discover Your Roots" programme organised at Roma Memorial in Kannauj. Minister Arun, who was invited as the chief guest, arrived at the venue at around 5:15 PM-15 minutes ahead of the scheduled time-accompanied by his wife Jyotsna. However, no senior administrative officials were present to receive him.
