Lucknow, Feb. 2 -- Under the National Adolescent Health Programme, National Deworming Day will be observed in Uttar Pradesh on February 10.
The campaign aims to administer Albendazole medicine to approximately 98 million children aged 1 to 19 years to protect them from intestinal worms. Children who are unable to receive the medicine on this day will be covered in a mop-up round on February 13.
On Monday, the programme's General Manager, Dr. Satish Kumar Gautam, stated that this campaign is conducted twice a year, in February and August, with the objective of keeping children free from worm infections.
