Mathura, Feb. 22 -- Police in Mathura today detained 34 people during a large-scale crackdown on suspected cyber fraudsters in villages near the Shergarh area, which has gained notoriety as a hub for online scams.
The operation was led by SP (Rural) Suresh Chandra Rawat and involved more than 240 police personnel. Coordinated raids were carried out early in the morning in Vishambhara and Jhanjhawali villages. Over 20 police vehicles were deployed, and the villages were surrounded to prevent suspects from escaping.
