Badaun, April 13 -- Three children drowned while bathing in the Ganga River in Badaun district of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday, police said.
The incident happenned near Khajura Nagla Pukhta village under Usahait police station. One child has been confirmed dead, while search operations for two brothers continued till late evening.
According to reports, the children - Keshav (9), Gudde (2), both sons of Jamadar, and Akhilesh (11), son of Santosh - had gone to the river to bathe. During the bath, all three reportedly drifted into deeper waters and began to drown before anyone nearby could react.
