Agra, March 18 -- A daring robbery took place on Tuesday evening in the Jagdishpura area.
A jeweller named Niresh Singh was returning home on his motorcycle after closing his shop in Bichpuri when three bike-borne assailants targeted him near Sadarvan village.
The attackers attempted to snatch a bag containing gold jewellery and documents. When Singh resisted, he was dragged nearly 10 meters along with the bag, resulting in serious injuries to his hands and knees.
The robbers fled towards Runakta after successfully escaping with the bag, which contained around 60 grams of gold jewellery worth over Rs 9 lakh, police said on Wednesday.
