Lucknow, March 17 -- A man and his wife were killed in a road accident late Sunday night on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway in the Kakori area of Lucknow.
Three other family members were injured, one of them seriously, and admitted to the KGMU Trauma Centre, police said today.
According to eyewitnesses, a speeding container truck coming from the wrong side collided head-on with the car. The impact caused the car to overturn once and crash into the roadside barrier. The container driver fled the spot leaving the vehicle behind.
Police seized the container and moved the damaged vehicles near the toll plaza.
The accident occurred about one kilometre before Rewari Toll Plaza while the victims were returning from Mathura after a religious visit....
