Prayagraj, March 23 -- A major accident occurred near Phaphamau in the Ganga-par area of Prayagraj today when a cold storage facility in Chandapur village collapsed following a powerful explosion.
The blast was reportedly caused by an ammonia gas tank rupture, triggering panic and trapping workers under debris.
At the time of the incident, more than two dozen labourers were present inside the facility. Many were buried under the rubble after the structure gave way. Rescue teams managed to pull out several workers, but at least four fatalities have been reported so far, while six others are said to be in critical condition.
