Lucknow, Jan. 31 -- The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has intensified its preparations for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.

The party is soon going to launch the second phase of a survey to assess the ground-level performance of its MLAs and potential candidates, as well as the public discontent stemming from the Manikarnika Ghat incident in Prayagraj, Shankaracharya issue in Prayagraj and the UGC bill.

According to sources, this new survey will begin in the second or third week of February. Significantly, the second phase of the survey will be conducted through a different, independent agency, while the report of the first phase is already with the party leadership.
