Bhadohi, March 17 -- In a major crackdown on criminal networks, Bhadohi police have carried out a large-scale operation against alleged education mafia figure Mayapati Dubey, the main accused in the widely highlighted 69,000 Teacher Recruitment Scam.
Authorities have frozen assets worth approximately Rs 2 crore believed to have been acquired through illegal means, officials said today.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of Superintendent of Police Abhinav Tyagi. Acting under the Gangster Act (Case No. 112/2025), police targeted properties linked to Dubey, who is currently in judicial custody following his arrest by the UP STF in March 2023.
