Prayagraj, Feb. 10 -- The Allahabad High Court today granted an interim stay on the criminal proceedings against former IPS officer Manilal Patidar, who has been an accused in a murder case, in the trial court until further orders.
The order was passed by a single bench of Justice Sanjay Kumar Pachauri.
The former SP has filed a petition to quash the entire trial court proceedings under Section 528 of the BNSS.
A case was filed against former SP Manilal Patidar at the Kotwali police station in Mahoba on July 22, 2021.
Mahoba's Kulpahar CO Tej Bahadur Singh filed an FIR (first information report) under Section 174A of the Indian Penal Code.
