Lucknow, Feb. 9 -- The Uttar Pradesh Tourism and Culture Department is giving a new dimension to tourism activities in the state by preserving, promoting, and developing the state's rich heritage, religious sites, art and culture, and natural tourist destinations, says the Economic Survey tabled in the state assembly on Monday.
With 156.18 crore tourist arrivals in 2025, Uttar Pradesh has reached the top position in the country in terms of tourist numbers. This is largely due to the successful implementation of the Chief Minister's far-sighted Tourism Policy-2022 and the grand Mahakumbh held in Prayagraj in 2025.
