Lucknow, March 26 -- Sharda Barrage in Lakhimpur Kheri is set to emerge as a major tourism destination, with the Uttar Pradesh Eco Tourism Development Board (UPETDB) initiating plans to develop a tent city across 2.67 acres through private participation.
The project aims to transform the scenic riverside location into a unique accommodation and wellness Tourism destination, offering visitors a nature-based travel experience.
Announcing the initiative, Uttar Pradesh Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh said here on Thursday that Sharda Barrage will soon be developed as a prominent tourism hub in the state.
