Lucknow, March 31 -- Rinku Singh Rahi, a 2022 batch IAS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre, resigned from his post on Tuesday. He alleged that for a long time he had been denied any responsible posting or assigned any meaningful work.

In his resignation, Rahi stated that he was associated with the Uttar Pradesh Revenue Council, but there he was only receiving a salary, with no opportunity for public service. Calling it his "moral decision," he said that remaining in the post without work was against his principles.
