Prayagraj, April 23 -- Uttar Pradesh State Human Rights Commission has taken cognizance of the tragic boat accident that occurred on April 10, 2026, in the Yamuna River in Vrindavan in which around 15 people drowned.
The State Human Rights Commission has sought information from the Mathura District Magistrate.
According to officials here on Thursday, considering the serious nature of the allegations, the Commission has directed the Mathura District Magistrate to conduct a detailed investigation into the matter and submit his report to the Commission by July 1, including the complainant.
The Commission has also directed that the matter be listed for further hearing on July 2, 2026.
