Lucknow, March 22 -- The Uttar Pradesh Department of Geology and Mining, in line with the vision of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is continuously working to ensure balanced and sustainable utilization of mineral resources while maximizing its contribution to the state's economy.

During a recent review meeting chaired by the Chief Secretary, the department released revenue figures for February. According to the data, approximately Rs 2,543.42 crore was collected from the state's ten major mineral-rich districts. Among them, Sonbhadra recorded the highest revenue, followed by Mahoba, Hamirpur, Jhansi and Jalaun as key contributors to mining-based revenue.
