Lucknow, Feb. 10 -- Uttar Pradesh government has stepped up its process to construct a new legislature complex in the state capital.

The new legislature complex is slated to be constructed on Sahara City land in Gomti Nagar locality of the state capital. The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has initiated the process of appointing a consultant, following government instructions.

An LDA sources here on Tuesday stated that approximately 10 months ago, the LDA took possession of 75 acres of its land in Sahara City. Subsequently, in September last, the Lucknow Municipal Corporation took possession of 170 acres of its land after cancelling the lease. This leaves a total of 245 acres vacant.
