Lucknow, April 13 -- After a long wait and well ahead of the 2027 assembly polls, senior BJP leaders of Uttar Pradesh could soon be given plum posts of chairman or vice-chairman or members of corporations, commissions and boards in the state.

Party sources said in the presence of senior BJP leader Vinod Tawde, a consensus was reached about the appointment of party leaders to these posts. The names of party functionaries reportedly received the green light in a meeting with party state president Pankaj Chaudhary and general secretary (organization) Dharampal Singh on Sunday.
