Bahraich, Feb. 11 -- A tragic accident caused by a police jeep in Bahraich district has sparked widespread anger among locals.
An out-of-control police vehicle ran over four women and a seven-month-old infant standing by the roadside, killing the baby on the spot and leaving the women seriously injured.
The incident occurred today evening in a village under Nishanganj police station limits.
According to eyewitnesses, the police jeep was speeding when it suddenly lost control and ploughed into the women, who were standing and talking while one of them held the infant.
