Chandigarh, April 8 -- Sudden weather changes triggered by a Western Disturbance have brought unseasonal rainfall and hailstorms to several parts of Haryana and the border district of Pathankot.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) centre in Chandigarh has issued an orange alert for several Haryana districts, including Jind, Sonepat, Panipat, Karnal, Kaithal, Kurukshetra, and Ambala, forecasting continued rain and thunderstorms.

Cities like Yamunanagar and Jind experienced heavy morning showers, Karnal and Kurukshetra witnessed significant hailstorms by Wednesday afternoon, leading to a sharp drop in temperatures across the region.
