Chennai, Feb. 14 -- union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology and Earth Sciences Dr JitendraSingh on Saturday urged the Tamil Nadu Government to work in close coordination with the Centre to provide the much-neededimpetus to the Startup ecosystem in the State.
Addressing the inaugural session of the Research, Industry, Start-up and Entrepreneurship (RISE) Conclave here, he highlighted the unprecedented growth of startups in India over the past decade, attributing it to the robust and proactive policies of the Central Government.
He noted that the number of registered startups has grown exponentially from around 350 in 2014 to over two lakh today.
