Hyderabad, Feb. 1 -- The Union Budget's proposal to add 75000 seats in medical colleges in the next five years and 10000 seats in the upcoming year would improve the country's healthcare professional gap, said Kamineni Shashidhar, MD, Kamineni Hospitals, on Saturday.

However, he pointed out that a sudden increase in medical colleges in the past two to three years has created a significant vacuum related to good teaching and infrastructure in new colleges which is affecting the training quality of students, he said
