Una, Jan. 23 -- As a major step towards strengthening power system in the Una Municipal Corporation area, the city's power infrastructure will be modernised at a cost of approximately Rs 20 crore under the World Bank Power Sector Development Scheme.
Under this project, about 100 transformers will be upgraded or new transformers installed in the city, making the power supply more uninterrupted, stable, and reliable.
Una's Superintending Engineer (Electricity) Darshan Singh said that under the scheme, 11 kV cables will be replaced and necessary improvements made to the LT (low tension) network.
