Moscow, Sept. 3 -- UK Air Chief Marshal Richard Knighton has replaced Admiral Tony Radakin as head of the country's armed forces, the UK Ministry of Defence said.
"Outgoing Chief of Defence Staff Admiral Sir Tony Radakin handed over today (2nd September) to his successor, Air Chief Marshal Sir Richard Knighton. Sir Richard's appointment was announced in June 2025, succeeding Admiral Radakin, who completed his four-year term, following his appointment in 2021," the ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.
Knighton, 56, served as the Chief of the Air Staff of the UK air force.
