Pune, Jan. 13 -- Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) has received an overwhelming response to its municipal election campaigns in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad, claimed Uday Samant, Sena Deputy Leader and Maharashtra's Minister for Industries and Marathi Language.
Following the conclusion of the campaign, Samant wrote an open letter expressing gratitude to voters in both cities. In the letter, he explained that although efforts were made to form a Mahayuti alliance in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad, Shiv Sena decided to contest independently in Pune and in alliance with the Nationalist Congress Party in Pimpri-Chinchwad due to the power-centric approach of some parties.
