Imphal, Dec. 21 -- The Uripok Apunba Lup (UAL) tonday extended its solidarity to the Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI), backing its demand for the safe, secure and time-bound resettlement of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) affected by the Manipur conflict that erupted on May 3, 2023.
Manipur government had announced that it will arrange return of all displaced persons by Dec 31 next however so far there is no progress on the ground according to the displaced persons who are on staging a sit-in protests at Lamboikhongnangkhong, Imphal West.
They said every day large numbers of people, including celebrated personalities like Mary Kom and others, come to meet them and even provided assistance and expressed solidarity....
