Kullu, March 1 -- Two young men were killed and three others injured when a camper vehicle plunged nearly 100 metres down a steep gorge near Jana village, close to Naggar in Kullu district.
The ill-fated vehicle was reportedly returning from the traditional Fag festival when the accident took place on the narrow and winding stretch of road late Saturday night.
According to initial information, the driver is suspected to have lost control of the vehicle, following which it veered off the road and rolled down the hillside.
Local residents, on hearing the crash, rushed to the spot and alerted the police. Rescue teams, along with locals, undertook a difficult operation in the dark to retrieve the occupants from the mangled vehicle. Superinte...
