Agartala, April 22 -- The Government Railway Police (GRP), in collaboration with the Railway Protection Force (RPF), apprehended two youths from Bihar at Agartala Railway Station last evening as they were preparing to board a long-distance train.

Upon inspecting their belongings, jawans discovered 21.48 kilograms of dry cannabis in their possession.

The suspects, identified as Bipin Kumar Mandal and Dhanraj Kumar, are believed to be involved in an inter-state drug trafficking network.

Agartala has recently emerged as a significant hub for human trafficking and the smuggling of narcotics, becoming a key transit point for both inter-state and international smugglers.
