Kaithal, April 3 -- A Kaithal court today overturned the decision of a lower court in the case pertaining to causing loss to the government worth lakhs of rupees and sentenced the then Inspector and Sub Inspector of the Food and Supplies Department to three years' imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10,000.
An additional punishment of three months will be borne for not paying the fine. Both have deposited the amount of fine. Both were acquitted in 2017 by the court of the then Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMIC) Amardeep Singh in this case.
As per information, a case was filed in the police station Kalayat on the complaint of DFSO KK Bishnoi. In the appeal, Deputy District attorney JB Goyal argued on behalf of the state.
